Fees and Charges

 

Below is a list of fees and charges relating to Empowering Minds Psychology. Please note all fees are required prior to or paid at the time of the appointment. Late payment of invoices will incur a $20 late payment charge.

Counselling Session:

Registered Psychologist: $200 for 50 minutes or $145 for 30 minutes. (If you have a mental health care plan you can get approximately $101 back from Medicare)

Senior Registered Psychologist: $250 for 50 minutes or $175 for 30 minutes. (If you have a mental health care plan you can get approximately $101 back from Medicare)

NDIS Sessions:

Open Arms Counselling:

Please contact Open Arms first to ask for counselling. Open Arms will then contact us to let us know when sessions are approved.


Cancellation Fees:

We know things sometimes change so you might need to cancel an appointment. Because we are unable to fill the appointment with another client the following cancellation fees apply:

  • More than 2 business days prior to the day of the appointment: No Fee

  • Between 2 business days and 1 business day prior to the day of the appointment: 50% of fee

  • Within 1 business day prior to the day of the appointment: 100% of fee

    *Please Note if a deposit for an assessment has been paid and any aspect of the assessment has been completed (such as forms sent out or given to clients) the deposit is non refundable even if the face to face/telehealth session with the client is cancelled.





Assessments

Intelligence Quotient Assessment(WISC or WPPSI): $1200

Minimum 2.5 hours $1200.00 (Unfortunately at this time Medicare does not cover this assessment). A deposit of $500 is required at the time of booking. Any cancellations are subject to our cancellation policy.

 

Educational Assessment (WISC + WIAT or WPPSI + WIAT): $2500

This assessment includes the Intelligence Quotient assessments as well as an academic assessment. It is often used if there are concerns about a child’s achievement or if your child might be gifted. A deposit of $500 is required at the time of booking. Any cancellations are subject to our cancellation policy. (Unfortunately at this time Medicare does not cover this assessment). $2500




Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessment (MIGDAS, SRS, VINELAND): From $1700

From $1700.00 (dependent on the assessments required). A deposit of $500 is required at the time of booking. Any cancellations are subject to our cancellation policy.




Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Assessment (DIVA, Conners): $1500

From $1500. A deposit of $500 is required at the time of booking. Any cancellations are subject to our cancellation policy. (Unfortunately at this time Medicare does not cover this assessment).




Functional Assessment (Vineland): From $1200

from $1200.00 (Unfortunately at this time Medicare does not cover this assessment)

 

Second Opinion Assessment: $800

If you have already had an assessment but disagree with the outcome we provide a second opinion assessment. You will need to allow the Psychologist to access any previous reports and assessments. It includes a written report. Cost is $800.


Written Report

from $230.00 per hour.


Phone Consultation with Schools or Other stakeholders (with written permission)

$230.00 per hour (or part thereof).


Supervision for Provisional Psychologists and Registered Psychologists

$230 (plus GST) per supervision session.
