Psychological Assessments

  • Psychological assessments are standardised assessments used by Registered Psychologists to either diagnose a disability or disorder or to provide the Psychologist with more information about their client.

  • Before completing an assessment we will have a session to discuss the concerns. The Psychologist will then complete the assessment. This can either be in person or electronically, depending on the assessment. Some assessments require the parents/carers to complete questions aswell.

Once the assessment is complete some verbal feedback will be provided.

  • Our registered Psychologists has extensive experience in a range of assessments including:

    -behavioural (e.g for ADHD)

-emotional (e.g for anxiety and depression)

-academic (to assess the academic level of a child or adolescent)

-adaptive (to assess levels of everyday skills)

    -intelligence (to assess an IQ)

    -Psychometric (Intelligence and Academic assessment).

    -Autism Spectrum Disorder

-Second Opinion: We also provide a second opinion assessment where you may have already had an assessment completed but want another opinion.

  • The cost for completing an assessments is available in the schedule of fees. The costs are determined by the length and complexity of the assessment.

Most assessments will also require a written report to be provided to schools or Paediatricians. This is a separate cost as it also requires extensive preparation and time.
